Damaged Property

Every once in a while we see damage to a homeowners property caused by a pressure washer. The most commonly damaged surfaces are wood decks and window screens. I wish I started taking pictures of damaged surfaces a long time ago but here are a few for now.

Damage to window screen caused by zero degree nozzle. Damage courtesy of a supposed 'handyman'.

Damage to redwood deck caused by a high pressure cold water machine. Damage courtesy of a competitor of Capp's Pressure Washing who dropped off a day laborer to pressure wash a customers deck.

Damage to redwood deck caused by turbo tip being used with a high pressure cold water machine. Damage courtesy of a homeowner who was misinformed on the purpose of a turbo tip.

Damage to concrete ( lines ) from misuse of a surface cleaner. Damage courtesy of a competitor of Capp's Pressure Washing.

This customer had over 1000 square feet of redwood decking that was damaged as seen in the photo. Damage courtesy of a competitor of Capp's Pressure Washing.

This is an interesting one. This deck was "professionally" cleaned and stained by a landscaper 2 days prior to this photo being taken. He actually showed up while I was there to give an estimate to fix his bad work. The shiny mirror like reflection you see is his attempt at applying stain. The deck was like a giant piece of fly paper and it would have never dried. He wanted to argue with me in front of the customer that the deck was supposed to look that way. Long story short we removed his bad stain work and made everything good again.

This is what happens when a competitor of mine uses straight muriatic acid to try and remove some oil stains from a driveway. we were called to try and remedy the situation but the etching was so deep that there was nothing we could do.

This is some zero degree nozzle pressure washing courtesy of a competitor of mine on an arbor. We were able to repair and stain.

How would you like it if you hire a handyman to pressure wash and repaint your deck and this is what was left? We were called at this stage of the job to fix the competitions damage.

Pressure washing damage that would require deep sanding to repair.

More pressure washing damage from a handyman that would require many expensive hours of sanding.

My Personal Favorite

This is a job that Capp's Pressure Washing bid on but did not get. This building is a historic home in Menlo Park that has been converted to offices. It is on the corner of Ravenswood Ave and Laurel Street in Menlo Park. I was driving by and noticed the work had been done and decided to take a look at one of my main competitors work. These photos represent the results of their work.
